The Colorado Advanced Photonics Technology (CAPT) Center is a non-profit organization with a mission to support the photonics industry. The CAPT Center offers services in metrology and surface characterization, photolithography, environmental testing, prototype packaging, and general optics testing.


An educational, research and industrial resource center, the U of A Microelectronics Lab includes Class 100 Clean Room Space, Class 10 Room Space, The Water Room, Metallization, and Assembly tools. The lab consists of approx. 15, 000 sf with the following major process areas and outside services available: Photolithography, Etch, Wet Sink, Chemical, Mechanical Planarization (CMP), Thermal Oxidation and Anneal, Metrology, and Coming Soon! LPCVD.
